I thought the most interesting – and certainly the most charismatic – performance in this movie was that given by John Kapelos as the hero's boss. As I'd never heard of him before, I looked him up on IMDb and to my amazement, I found he has amassed to date (2016) no less than 179 credits.
Carter Simms (Douglas Callan) is a small town football hero living a successful life in LA selling 401Ks. He has a beautiful girlfriend (Brooke Burke-Charvet) and everything a guy could want.
I was in a record store the other day trying to replace my scratched copy of 'Exile on Main Street' (nothing buy vinyl for yours truly) and the two locals at the counter would not stop going on and on about this 'Knuckle Sandwich' movie. He apparently went to boarding school in Charlotte with a guy who now works for a production company in LA--said everybody out there was talking about this thing.
